the to-be-cut material and heats up the latter up to its melting temperature. Similar to plasma cutting, a gas jet subsequently blows the melted material out of the kerf. Depending on the temperature up to which the to-be-cut material is being heated, 3 types of laser cutting can be distinguished:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d1938ec elementor-repeater-item-none elementor-repeater-item-none_hover elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d1938ec\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Sublimation cutting:<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f9d5cdb elementor-repeater-item-none elementor-repeater-item-none_hover elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f9d5cdb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Here, the laser ray directly heats up the material to its vaporization temperature (sublimation). A nitrogen gas jet then pushes out the vaporized material out of the kerf. Typically used for cutting wood, plastic and thin metal.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e400cc2 elementor-repeater-item-none elementor-repeater-item-none_hover elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"e400cc2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Flame cutting:<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-59dc444 elementor-repeater-item-none elementor-repeater-item-none_hover elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"59dc444\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSimilar to oxy-fuel cutting, the material is heated to its ignition temperature by the laser ray, and subsequently burns inside an oxygen jet, which at the same time blows the residuals out of the kerf.
