Torches, electrodes, shields, nozzles … plasma cutting systems incorporate a number of wearing parts, subjected to severe testing given the high temperatures to which they are exposed. By constantly keeping an eye on the wear and tear of these parts, you will improve the overall quality of your production.
These consumables are located in the cutting torch. They wear out more or less quickly depending of course on how you use them. The nozzle and electrode are particularly vulnerable, and wear on the nozzle has a direct impact on cut quality. In fact, the more the nozzle is worn, the wider the cutting line.
